Webb Cares

Webb Cares is a Del Webb at Grande Dunes community service organization with a commitment to support local charities, nonprofit organizations, and local government support organizations through direct volunteering, contributions of needed supplies, donations, and financial gifts. Webb Cares is a 501(c)(3) and registered in the state of South Carolina.

Charities are supported based on community need and whether they have a 501(c)(3) standing. We consider those that members are actively involved with and request Webb Cares support, as well as others community members may bring to the group for consideration. All possible charities for the new calendar year are voted on by Webb Cares in December of the previous year.

Mission Statement

We bring support to local charities and nonprofit organizations through direct volunteering, planned fundraisers, contributions of needed supplies and donations, and financial gifts. This can be accomplished because of the generosity of our community residents and its commitment to improving the life and circumstances of those in need locally.

Past Accomplishments

 The Del Webb community through Webb Cares has :

* Donated over 1000 books to Freedom Readers

* Sent 40 children to summer camp at the Chapin YMCA

* Raised more than $25,000 for veterans’ charities

* Made Christmas special for 27 participants in Project Lighthouse

* Distributed 100 holiday gifts to Santa for Seniors

* Donated more than 350 stuffed animals to the Myrtle Beach Police Department to help comfort children in traumatic situations

* Properly retired 57 American flags with the DAR
